Cancer survivor and superathlete Lance Armstrong is running the Boston Marathon today to raise money for the Armstrong Foundation. Yes, as we type.
In an interview with Runner’s World he mentioned that he hoped to finish the grueling 26.2 mile Boston run in about 2 hours and 40ish minutes.
This is Lance’s first shot at the Boston Marathon.
He’s currently running a 6 minute 33 second mile and expected to finish the race at 2 hours 51 minutes.
DAMN! We can barely get through the 12 minute mile that our trainer makes us do!
Bostonians get to ‘heartbreak hill’ and cheer Lance and all the runners on!
Let’s hope he finishes at his goal time!
UPDATE: Lance Armstrong finished 488th in 2 hours 50 minutes and 58 seconds.
