– The Hunger Games trailer received 8 million views in its FIRST 24 hours

– Books sales jumped 7.5 million copies after the trailer was released
And here are some more deets/figures/trivia from the film:
– Film’s budget ended up being $78 million after subsidies
– Hailee Steinfeld, Shailene Woodley, and Abigail Breslin were considered for the role of Katniss
– Jennifer Lawrence got paid $500,000 for the role of Katniss + bonuses for the movie’s performance

– 300+ bears lived in the woods where the film was shot, and they’d regularly come out
– Film is expected to gross at least $150 million domestically
