As surprising as Lou Dobbs‘ resignation was from CNN, his reasoning is even more shocking!
The CNN anchor claims that as soon as President Obama was elected, advocacy journalism was no longer on top and his ratings began to fall. He believes that after the election there was a tonal change in the air on CNN.
“You know, I discern more of a difference between then, which was under the Bush administration whom I was criticizing, and now, when it is the Obama administration and an entirely different tone was taken,” said Dobbs.
Although he never heard from CNN execs that he was making the network look bad, he left because he could no longer deal with the network’s push to avoid anchor opinions during prime time.
But, we haven’t seen the last of him!
“I’m going to remain – I can guarantee you 100 percent – I’m going to remain in the in the public arena,” he continued.
