We are in awe!
The Louis Vuitton / Marc Jacobs show ended with a magical exhibit that most definitely put the beauty and history of fashion on display.
The show took visitors to Les Arts Décoratifs on a journey by showing off 19th Century gowns to futuristic nurse-like uniforms holding gorgeous neutral handbags (above).
The collection was on display in a museum-type platform where trunks of clothes dating back to 1867, including a 1896 trunk bearing the now famous Louis Vuitton monogram, produced by his late father Georges Vuitton.
Jacobs described the experience:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós so chaotic. To me, it├óΓé¼Γäós what my head feels like when I├óΓé¼Γäóm going into a collection.
It├óΓé¼Γäós a question of obsession, and a passion for getting things right and a love of craft.”
And yes, we can tell.
This is the ultimate trunk show. So jealz we couldn’t be there in person to see it!
