Wow. This is a shocking and deeply disturbing story.
Love & Hip Hop: New York personality Sidney Starr is now at the center of extremely serious criminal allegations after being arrested in Georgia on charges involving a minor.
According to TMZ on Monday, booking records out of Fulton County in the Peach State show Starr was taken into custody on Sunday and is facing charges of sexual battery against a child under 16, aggravated child molestation, and sodomy. Whoa…

The news outlet reports that authorities allege Starr confessed to performing oral sex on a minor at an Embassy Suites hotel in the Fulton County city of Hapeville, an Atlanta ‘burb. Per the report, Starr allegedly confessed to the allegation, and claimed the encounter was consensual.
The circumstances surrounding the case remain unclear beyond her arrest, of course — and many questions have yet to be answered as the legal process moves forward.
Nevertheless, the transgender model and reality TV personality has long been known for making headlines, appearing on both Love & Hip Hop: New York and Wild ‘n Out. Years ago, Starr also generated massive controversy after falsely claiming to have had a sexual relationship with rapper Chingy. She later admitted the story was fabricated and apologized, though Chingy has maintained the rumor caused lasting damage to his career.
And now, amid these new allegations, Starr’s mother is standing firmly by her daughter’s side.
Speaking to TMZ on Monday, Stephanie Favors said she was completely blindsided by the accusations and insisted the claims do not reflect the person she knows. She told the outlet she does not believe Sidney would ever engage in sexual activity with a minor and described the allegations as entirely out of character.
According to the news org, Favors said Starr had traveled to Georgia for a booking around the time of the alleged incident. She also revealed she has not been able to speak with her daughter since the arrest because Starr remains in custody.
For now, we’ll wait to see how all this plays out in court, and through the legal system…
