Luann de Lesseps isn’t worried about her marriage one bit!
As we previously shared, the Countess and her husband, Tom D’Agostino, made headlines earlier this week after it was reported that the Real Housewives Of New York star slapped her man during an argument at Le Bilboquet restaurant in Manhattan. Yikes!

Nonetheless, the Bravolebrity is moving quickly to downplay the drama as she’s since opened up about the spat to several publications. During a chat with E! News, the mother-of-two explained:
“What couple doesn’t have lovers’ quarrels? Tom and I are very passionate and very much in love with each other and things happen. Unfortunately we are very much public people and so everybody likes to talk about it. From the Housewives to the restaurant, it’s very hard to keep privacy.”
Look at that spin. Well played, girl. On the alleged slap, de Lesseps quipped:
“It was more of a tap then a slap. It was a lovers’ quarrel. I think all couples go through these things.”
Do they though?? We’re not sure about that. Nonetheless, Luann wants fans to know that she did NOT hit her husband as she later told People:
“I did not slap him in the face. End of story. It was like a face hold more than a slap, really. It was a little love pat ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ it wasn’t a slap. A slap is something totally different. People magnify that because they want to make their story richer. People like to exaggerate.”
A “love pat”? Seriously? Why not just say it was a gentle caress, only done extremely fast, and hard, and in anger?
Speaking of the drama surrounding this story, it seems the RHONY vet is more than exhausted with the peanut gallery weighing in on her love life. She continued with E! News:
“It was made to be a much bigger deal. People like to gossip, people like to talk. That can weigh heavily on a relationship. Tom and I have been through a lot, but we love each other. We aren’t going to let gossip or rumors get the best of us.”
And they really aren’t, as the 52-year-old went on to brag about all of the “makeup sex” she and Tom are having. We’re sure her children LOVE reading this. LOLz!

Luann added:
“Tom and I have a very passionate love affair going and that’s why we got married. We love each other. And we’re working through problems… A good healthy argument makes for good makeup sex. And we are having a lot of makeup sex.”
Passionate sex aside, the newlyweds are also taking a weekend trip to Newport in order to reconnect and enjoy some alone time. And for good measure, the Countess reiterated one last time:
“Tom and I are good. We love each other and you work through things. That’s what couples do├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥so everything is fine and we are happy.”
Who are you trying to convince, doll??? WE TEASE.
Hopefully, this is the last bit of drama the love birds face — but, we doubt it will be.
