As we unfortunately reported earlier, actor Andy Whitfield has passed away at the young age of 39.
The Spartacus star lost his battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and his family and friends couldn’t be hurting more.
Among those friends is co-star Lucy Lawless who remembers him fondly:
He was a gentle man who never said a bad word about anyone, a gifted photographer, engineer, and a brilliant actor.
So, so sad. The man was truly a gift to us all.
Our thoughts go out to everyone personally affected by his death as well as fellow fans.
