Luigi Mangione just received a MASSIVE influx of cash to aid his legal defense.
Since the 26-year-old was accused of assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December, the world has been EXTREMELY divided on how to react. Many have condemned him as a cold-blooded murderer, even a terrorist. Others have rallied behind him and hailed him as a heroic vigilante — considering how many deaths the decisions of greedy health insurance companies like UHC have caused. What’s clear is the latter half is putting their money where their mouths are!

The December 4 Legal Committee, whose name is based on the date of the murder, has spearheaded a fundraiser on GiveSendGo to raise money for Luigi’s legal battle as he awaits trial. And they’ve done so extremely successfully! In an update on the fundraising page on Monday, the admins informed supporters they’ve successfully established contact with Luigi’s lawyer Karen Friedman Agnifilo to talk donations:
“We are excited to announce that we have established contact with Karen Friedman Agnifilo and the rest of Luigi’s legal team, who will be accepting your donations.”
As of the time of writing this article, the committee has raised over $301,000! DAMN! And the accused murder is reportedly VERY grateful! The post continues:
“In response to hearing about your 10,000+ individual donations, averaging under $30, Karen stated that Luigi ‘very much appreciates the outpouring of support.’ We feel honored to provide supporters with a reliable way to continue contributing to his legal fees through any future donations.”
Wow. $300k and counting will go a long way for the accused!
