Rumors of Macaulay Culkin‘s alleged addictions to oxycodone and heroin have been running rampant for months since he was spotted out looking alarmingly gaunt and sickly, and sadly, it appears that things have only been getting progressively worse.
In fact, new reports have surfaced that despite failed attempts from ex-girlfriend Mila Kunis to get him to enter rehab, the former child star’s life is so overwhelmed with addiction that he’s now even become suicide, and would have successfully ended his life if it weren’t for a last-minute intervention.
Sources report to The National Enquirer:
“[He] was talking about killing himself – saying he had ‘nothing to live for.’ Macaulay was shooting heroin and talking about taking his own life. He was also taking pills, and if he hadn’t stopped, his heart would have given out. He was in a drugged-up state, but Macaulay clearly knew what he was doing. I’m convinced he was trying to kill himself! Fortunately, Ma­caulay wasn’t alone, otherwise he likely would have ended up dead. There was blood on him from shooting up. It was a horrible situation, and a near-OD. After the incident it was clear that Macaulay needed psychological help, but he refuses to admit he has a problem. The fact is that his life is at a dead end, his career is in the toilet and he can’t get over Mila, who left him because of his drug use at the time. The guy is going to wind up like John Belushi or River Phoenix if he doesn’t get himself into rehab.”
Ugh. Just thinking about this makes us ill.
We sincerely hope that if things have really gotten as bad for him as it’s being reported, that someone – whether it be a close friend or family member – can intervene before it’s too late and get him to at least recognize that he deserves to treat himself better than this.
Addiction is a scary disease, folks.
And we think everyone can agree that there has been far enough tragedy in recent days.
So please, Macaulay, please. Get help.
