Yes, you read that headline correctly. No, this is not a joke. Well, not entirely!
Macaulay Culkin is apparently tapping into his musical side and has started a band that does covers of songs by The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed!
Now we have to admit, we were a bit concerned when we heard he would be covering songs that are mostly about drugs, ESPECIALLY when you consider his previous battle with addiction.
But Macaulay and his bandmates got a little creative and tweaked the lyrics to some of Lou’s biggest hits so that they’re about PIZZA and not drugs!
That’s right! Instead of I’m Waiting For The Man, they have I├óΓé¼Γäóm Waiting For The Delivery Man! They turned All Tomorrow’s Parties to All The Pizza Parties! And perhaps best of all, they took Take A Walk On The Wild Side and changed it to Take A Bite Of The Wild Slice!
His band, which is appropriately named The Pizza Underground has actually only played one gig and they recorded an 8 minute long demo just for fun, but they actually did a pretty good job of changing the lyrics while keeping the songs essentially the same!
We’ve been so happy to see the progress Macaulay has made, and it’s great to see that he’s finding other ways to spend his time! And it DEFINITELY looks like his sense of humor is alive and well! LOLz!
