No More Mad Max Movies?! Director George Miller Says ‘I Won’t Do Those Anymore’ After Golden Globes Loss!

no title

One of the biggest movies of 2015 was Mad Max: Fury Road — which will hopefully pick up a few Oscar nominations after being swept at the Golden Globes!

Ever since the release of the acclaimed film, director George Miller made it sound like he was to be involved in making more sequels!

The Aussie filmmaker even teased the title of the next film would be Mad Max: The Wasteland and would follow Tom Hardy‘s character on another adventure!

But even if Warner Brothers plans to ignite more installments of the dystopian action franchise, it looks like Miller won’t be the one to direct them!

After Sunday’s ceremony, the 70-year-old said he “won’t make any more Max Max movies,” telling the New York Post’s Page Six:

“I’ve shot in Australia in a field of wild flowers and flat red earth when it rained heavily forever. We had to wait 18 months and every return to the US was 27 hours. Those ├óΓé¼╦£Mad Maxes’ take forever. I won’t do those anymore.”

That hectic production would make us just as mad!

We’re not sure if this means Miller just won’t be serving as director for the next sequel, or if he’s planning on washing himself clean of the whole thing!

Hopefully, Fury Road scores some Oscar nods and changes the director’s tuneMad Max just won’t be the same without Miller at the helm!
