MAGA Congresswoman Under Fire After Writing Jaw-Dropping Letter To 10-Year-Old -- Shameful!!

A Republican Congresswoman is facing backlash for what she said to a 10-year-old trying to make a difference.

North Carolina representative Virginia Foxx has captured the attention of Americans far and wide after sending what many are calling a scathing letter to a 10-year-old student after he contacted her for a school project. According to multiple outlets, Christian Mango was tasked with writing a persuasive essay about an issue he cares about and sending it off to an influential person who could help his cause. His mother Emily Mango told Fox 8:

“Christian and his class, they wrote a persuasive essay of their choosing. They mailed it off to a representative, a CEO, whoever the decision maker was to be influential in their persuasive essay points.”

The kiddo decided to write about the benefits of electric cars as opposed to gas, and suggested offering a $5,000 tax rebate to those who own one. Christian told the news outlet:

“They’re better than normal cars. They’re better for the environment. They pay less. And there’s no gas.”

In his letter, he further outlined the importance of fighting climate change:

“Maybe there is still a chance for 6.5 million people to not die anymore and for the weather to get better just maybe glaciers stop melting.”

Who knows if Christian, or anyone else for that matter, really thought he’d ever receive a response. But on May 1, one came in the mail… and completely shocked his mother!

In her letter, the MAGA conservative directed Christian to read six articles she linked to “about the disastrous record of policies enacted to address ‘climate change.’” The 82-year-old, who is endorsed by Donald Trump himself, further told Christian his generation would be handed down the massive national debt once they reach their 20s, despite that having nothing to do with Christian’s letter:

“2038 is only 12 years away, and YOU and your classmates will be responsible for the debt.”

She went on to criticize his teachers and school:

“Incidentally, please ask your teacher to explain propaganda to you. While I will never be able to know, my guess is that your teachers will not give you a good educational experience and help you to learn to think as they are too interested in indoctrinating you. How sad.”

WHOA! Mind you, she’s literally writing to a 10 YEAR OLD.

After reading the letter, Christina’s mom says she’s “embarrassed” to have to call Virginia her representative. Alongside an upload of the “horrific” letter, she wrote on Instagram:

“She attacked his teachers, his school, his education, and referenced propaganda, indoctrination, and other concepts that a 10-year-old has not been exposed to. This is a totally inappropriate response to one of her youngest constituents.”

After having some of Virginia’s concepts explained to him, Christina told Fox 8 he feels her response is “wrong” because his school “didn’t do anything” to influence his essay. Emily added:

“We told our son that is not an okay response. Nobody should talk to a child like that and nobody should talk to a teacher like that. She crossed the line.”

A representative for Virginia’s office has since addressed the controversy:

“A close read of the letter from Rep. Foxx, coupled with an understanding of Rep. Foxx’s record of holding educational systems to account, simply reveals a concern for indoctrination stemming from those responsible for educating students. The motives of the individual student who wrote the letter to Rep. Foxx were never being impugned — not in the slightest.”

It’s interesting… the same people claiming schools are “indoctrinating” young children never say the same about other influential organizations they gladly welcome children into. Haven’t you noticed that? So is it really concern for indoctrination, or just concern for opposing beliefs?
