A group of teenage boys from Covington Catholic High School in Park Hills, Kentucky has sparked outrage far and wide across the internet after multiple videos went viral overnight showing the group surrounding a Native American elder at the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington, D.C. on Friday.
The videos are tough to watch.

The videos show dozens of the teenage students wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ hats surrounding the man, as you can see (below):

Here’s another video of these kids harassing this Native American protestor. The ignorance, the bigotry, is infuriating. This is not the future of this nation.

Wow…
The elder, who was identified as Nathan Phillips, is a member of the Omaha nation and was himself a Vietnam War veteran; he also holds a ceremony for Native American veterans buried at Arlington National Cemetery — but that no doubt didn’t matter to these mindless MAGA kids.
Phillips spoke about the incident later, showing remarkable poise, calm, restraint, and class (below):
Many people have been as outraged about this (below):

And others have asked — with no answer, yet — for Covington Catholic to own up for their students.
Though the school DID respond by locking their social media accounts (below):
These pathetic cowards. If you’re gonna hide from people because you can’t accept the completely earned anger your students inspired at least take out the publicly viewable parts about how you’re educating young men “spiritually and socially.” pic.twitter.com/5bqojfMz64
