Fortunately, nobody was injured so it doesn’t appear that we have another Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark on our hands, but we were still disturbed to hear how a live Aladdin performance at Disney’s California Adventure went horribly wrong! (above)
Here’s the statement that Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown released about the incident:
“During today’s 4:50pm performance of Aladdin at Disney California Adventure, there was a malfunction on the flying carpet, on which two performers were riding.”
“As is our safety practice, both performers were harnessed and they were uninjured.”
Hopefully TOO many children weren’t traumatized. We’d hate to think that such an a-mazing movie could be spoiled for so many kids, but then again, we could see where anybody who experienced something like that MIGHT have trouble getting over it.
