Could this be the break he needs?!
Making a Murderer has been out for less than a month, but it’s already managed to capture the attention of the nation in record speed.
The true crime Netflix docu-series follows the trials of Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey who were convicted of murdering Teresa Halbach way back in 2005.

While most viewers responded to the 10-part series by demanding a retrial or pardon for Steven due to a lack of physical evidence and police incompetence, there wasn’t very much that could be done for the men… until now!
It was reported on Tuesday that 53-year-old Steven Avery has officially filed an appeal through the Wisconsin Court of Appeals looking to get his case thrown out!
Apparently, Steven believes that a certain juror on his original case ruined his chances of a fair trial by tainting the other 11 by constantly referring to him as “f*cking guilty.”

Furthermore, the Manitowac man suggests that police illegally obtained evidence and even possibly planted evidence at the crime scenes, to which they had insufficient warrants — specifically in regards to Teresa’s car.
This is a huge development in the case, and it’ll be interesting to see if the court of public opinion has any sway on the appellate court’s decision.
Do U think Steven and Brendan deserve a retrial, at the very least??
