Mama June has been pretty much laying low since her sex offender scandal started.
Now she’s realizing how serious things are and how curious/outraged the nation is, so she’s opening up to the media.
We previously mentioned she sat down with Dr. Phil and explained how she’s absolutely NOT dating sex offender Mark McDaniel, who went to jail for sexually abusing her daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell.

Well when Mama June sat down with Entertainment Tonight she revealed that the father of two of her daughters, Jessica “Chubs” Shannon, 17, and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 14, IS a convicted sex offender!
And it’s not Mark McDaniel!
His name is Michael Anthony Ford, 37, and he served time for sexual exploitation after being busted in 2005 on NBC’s To Catch A Predator. Remember when we talked about him a few weeks ago??
Mama June said:
“Jessica and Pumpkin have the same dad, but Jessica’s dad has had nothing to do with her over the years. So, why the hell would I open up that can of worms until today? I lied to my family and told them it was somebody else.”
Wow. That’s just… wow.
Apparently this all came to light after Pumpkin tried to meet with Mark McDaniel, because she thought he was her father.
June continued:
“I was sitting right there with twelve other people. It was a conversation that she wanted her answers: what happened, why did he leave, you know, if he was her real father. He admitted to her, no. I had already told her that but, you know, she wanted to hear from both sides of the story.”
So Pumpkin’s dad wasn’t sex offender McDaniel, her dad was sex offender Ford.
We feel so awful for this poor family!

We’re glad to see June out of hiding and hope she’s taking every step possible towards protecting and healing her family.
