As we mentioned last week, The Dark Knight was ruling the DVD holiday sales.
Reports were even suggesting that the flick would soon become the best selling 2008 movie.
However, it’s been outdone….by Mamma Mia!
The musical has just become the top-selling DVD in the United States, as of Wednesday.
As for The Dark Knight, that remains the top-selling video release of the year with worldwide estimates of 13.5 million sold.
Though it’s a close call on the Blue-ray Disc selling list with The Dark Knight coming in at number one and Mamma Mia! at number three.
Surprisingly The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor debuted on Blu-ray at number two.
