Well, this is one way to ring in the New Year!
A Washington, D.C. man is without the tip of his finger after it was bitten off by another man just after midnight on January 1!

Dirty Bar, in D.C.’s Dupont Circle neighborhood, was hosting a New Year’s bash that included an open bar if you coughed up $99, and it appears that maybe a few people went too far with the non-stop booze.
A witness reported that a fight broke out after a man punched a woman in the face at the bar — never a smart move.
From there, a second man grabbed the first one, and during an altercation between the two of them, that second man went and Mike Tyson‘d the woman-puncher’s finger.
Ouch!!!

Miraculously (or maybe disgustingly?) the fingertip was found on the floor of the bar, and the victim was transported to a hospital to deal with his injuries.
No word on if the finger has been re-attached, or if one (or both!) of these brutal brawlers are going to be charged with anything.
The takeaway here is obvious:
First, don’t hit women. Second, why the hell are people fighting with a party going on and an open bar in front of them?!
