Man Catches 200-Year-Old Fish!

Henry Liebman is a sport fisherman from Seattle who was deep-sea fishing off the coast of Alaska a few weeks ago.
When fishing, you never know what you’re gonna get├óΓé¼┬ª so he must’ve certainly been surprised when he hooked a record-setting, 40-pound shortraker rockfish!
40-pounds doesn’t sound too impressive as far as deep-sea fishing is concerned, but this rockfish was special├óΓé¼┬ª it’s believed to be at least 200-years-old!!
That’s cray cray!!
Leibman said:

“I knew it was abnormally big [but I] didn├óΓé¼Γäót know it was a record until on the way back we looked in the Alaska guide book that was on the boat.”

The next closest, oldest rockfish was 175! Still crazy old but not a record!!
The more we think about it though, the sadder we get.
This creature survived for two centuries! It took everything that life threw at it and said, “Nope, I’m not gonna die!”
Until one day it said, “That worm on that shiny thing over there looks tasty├óΓé¼┬ª” Then it was all over.
So, yeah, it’s a cool record, but was it worth killing a two centuries old creature??
We’re gonna go ahead and guess no.
