OMG! Man Falls Into Non-Flushing Toilet At California Campsite While Trying To Fish Out His Sunglasses!

This man is without a doubt an unhappy camper right now!

According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were called to Camp Edison in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Why is that? Police received a report about a confined space rescue… because a man fell into a campsite vault toilet while trying to retrieve sunglasses he dropped inside! Oh no!

If you don’t know, vault toilets are a type of non-flush, waterless toilet that stores human waste in a large, sealed underground tank. That guy fell and got stuck inside it, all because he wanted his sunglasses back! Talk about a s****y day, literally!

When rescue crews arrived at the scene, they found him in the toilet. Sergeant Chris Tullus told YourCentralValley.com that the man was in the toilet for about 10 to 15 minutes before they were able to save him:

“Via a Spanish translator, they advised that the subject had fallen into the chemical storage tank. Law enforcement, Camp Edison staff, and fire personnel responded and were able to safely get him out, decontaminate him, and, he’ll be ok.”

The man didn’t report any serious injuries. He ended up walking away from the incident after being hosed off by Cal Fire. Although thankfully unharmed, he’s probably feeling a tad embarrassed at this moment! Dude should’ve forgotten about the sunglasses instead of trying to grab ’em! But a lesson learned for next time, that is, if he ever goes camping again after this horrifying incident!
