Baby Theo isn’t getting the Insta love from his dad, so his momma is stepping up two-fold!
Maralee Nichols made sure to shower her baby boy with lots of love over the weekend while her baby daddy was getting roasted for never publicly acknowledging his fourth child!
As we all know, Tristan Thompson is dad to Prince with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. He and his ex Khloé Kardashian also share True and their newest arrival Tatum. Friday marked the latter’s first birthday, which was a big moment for the family, who have gone through so much since he was conceived! We’re talking a high-profile cheating scandal, the birth of a secret love child, and the loss of a dear mother.

To celebrate the occasion, the NBA player took to his Instagram to share two adorable photos of the pair while reflecting on his year with Tatum, writing:
“Tatum!! Happy birthday my son! You are a reminder of what life represents to me. You have taught me every loss comes a lesson and you are my gift. You are my reminder of all of God’s messages. You are the reason that I began my story. The mistakes along the way are lessons not failures. There is no expiration date to reinventing yourself. Tatum your sweet soul reminds me of God’s grace. You are a future king my son and I am so blessed to be your DaDa!”
But all that talk about lessons learned and he’s still ignoring one of his kids?! Fans had a LOT of feelings on this tribute, arguing:
“Lol. Is your other kid you had at the same time gonna receive this public display of appreciation guy?”
“How about your other future king? Didn’t make the cut?”
“You should love and praise ALL your children equally. That’s what real dads do”
They’re not wrong! It’s the respectable thing to do — especially after he admitted to fathering Theo after a months-long affair with Maralee. But so far, he’s shown no public interest in being the boy’s dad — at least not on the same level as his other kids… and it seems Maralee has some thoughts on this, too!

Over the weekend, the model made sure to post lots about Theo — perhaps to block out Tristan’s gushy post about Tatum! TBH, it looks like the little boy is doing just fine despite the family drama. In the pics, the mother-son duo can be seen at Legoland while on a train ride. The 1-year-old sat in Maralee’s lap while wearing a blue sunhat and looking off to the side. The 32-year-old waved at the camera with a big smile.
She then included a photo of the tiny tot running on the beach on Sunday alongside the tune, Don’t Worry, Be Happy. Check it out (below)!

We can’t help but think that song might be a reference to the online backlash! And if so, it sounds like Theo and Maralee are holdin’ up alright amid Tristan’s silent treatment!
This is certainly a complicated situation. It’s good that Theo’s too young to be aware what’s going on right now, but if Tristan doesn’t change his parenting style soon, this could become a massive problem! Reactions, Perezcious readers?? Let us know (below)!
