Marc Jacobs Releases, Then Pulls Neo-Nazi Inspired Boot Shirt!

When will major brands learn to do their research before releasing offensive items?

Marc Jacobs accidentally released a graffiti-inspired shirt that just so happens to be connected to a Neo-Nazi group.

This is obviously not a mistake people would take lightly, especially after Russell Brand’s Hugo Boss Nazi rant at the GQ Men of the Year Awards!

The design (above) is associated with the cover art (below) of Skrewdriver, a skinhead band based out England that was popular in the ‘80s.

Thankfully the shirt was pulled as soon as the connection was made, and a rep from Marc Jacobs released the following apology:

“It has been brought to our attention that the imagery on a T-shirt of ours is similar to that used by a band. We were not trying to make a connection to that band or make a statement of any kind. We have removed the stock of the shirt from our own stores and offer our retail partners the same opportunity.”

Saks Fifth Avenue apparently didn’t get the memo yet, or chose to blissfully ignore it because as of right now, you can still purchase the tee on their online store at SaksFifthAvenue.com.

Yikes!
