Were Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley doomed from the start?
As you know, the songwriter and actress recently revealed their split to the world after just three years of marriage. This came after Margaret removed their wedding pics from her Instagram page, which got fans suspecting something was up. But was it really that much of a shock to their inner circle?
According to a source for People on Tuesday, the couple was never a strong “match” due to their differences in their “personalities”:
“Margaret has a light, very positive energy. She’s warm, upbeat and always tries to see the best in people. Jack tends to be more serious. They just look at life differently. Their personalities weren’t the best match in the long run.”
Hey, sometimes it works! But other times, you clash more than you challenge each other.

As for after the split, don’t expect to see The Substance star out and about with a new guy anytime soon. The insider said she’s focusing on her career right now after this heartbreak:
“She genuinely loves acting and gets excited about every new project. That’s always been a huge part of who she is. She’s the happiest when she’s working and right now, she’s just looking ahead and focusing on what’s next. She’s spent years building her career and is excited to keep doing what she loves.”
We’re glad Margaret has something she loves to focus on during this rough time.
