A 90-year-old woman in Florida, Margaret Webb, was attacked by an 8-foot alligator while walking in her garden.
The gator bolted out of a canal alongside her garden and chomped down on her leg. So horrible!
As the gator was dragging her into the water, a neighbor, Dwain Daniels, spotted her from his truck while driving by and quickly ran to her.
He had a gun with him and was able to shoot at the gator and, believing he hit the gator, cause the gator to release Ms. Webb before retreating to the water.
Ms. Webb was airlifted to a nearby hospital where her leg was amputated. She remains in critical condition.
Authorities believe that if it weren’t for the heroic actions of Mr. Daniels, Ms. Webb would not have survived the attack.
Let’s hope she pulls through.
