Mariah Carey is living the single life these days… or is she?
The singer spent her birthday weekend with longtime friend Brett Ratner, who was born exactly one day after her. And after previously Instagramming a pic together in the ladies’ room (above), people are wondering if the duo are together!

The answer is a flat out no!
Once the rumors started swirling, Ratner’s rep put a stop to them, saying that the stories are “ridiculous,” and added, “They have been best friends for a very long time.”
So, Mariah is still single and ready to mingle!
