There’s just one little problem…
Mariah Carey and James Packer may have gotten engaged — with a gorgeous ring, to boot — but there’s just one teeny, tiny issue they need to take on before they can do anything about it!

According to reports, both of them are still married!!
What the what?!
Carey is still not officially divorced from Nick Cannon, according to TMZ, and Packer is still married to his wife, Erica!
Apparently, Mariah and Nick have yet to fully settle their financial issues, even though they went into the marriage with a prenup — and even though they are now getting along and working towards a solution, well, it hasn’t come yet!

As for James and his still-wife, they separated in 2013 — she’s even dating Seal now — but apparently, Australian legal matters have delayed the divorce process very significantly.
Hmm… maybe it’ll be a nice, slow engagement period? You know, they can really get to know each other!
