Mariah Carey‘s not afraid to spend some serious dough when it comes to protecting her vocal cords and hamstrings.
On Friday, it was revealed that MiMi has thrown down $70 million in order to insure her beloved body parts. Whoa!

Apparently, the We Belong Together singer got insured since she could lose MILLIONS if she injures herself during the extended leg of her world tour in South America. Well that makes sense!
Obviously, Miz Carey’s voice is her most important asset so we’re not surprised to learn that $35 million was spent to protect her vocal cords. Although, we’re shocked that the 46 year old dropped an equal amount on a policy to protect her legs!
We guess you can’t really throw a good concert if you can’t walk. Mariah is most certainly not the first celebrity to financially protect their legs as there was a rumor Taylor Swift‘s gams are worth reportedly $40 million. Oh man!
While it may be worth it, Mariah is now shelling out THOUSANDS on an expensive monthly premium. Hey, whatever works best for you girl!
