Mariah Carey, you may be a certified diva and a repeated show-up-late-to-appearances offender, but being late to an award show is a HUGE no-no!
Especially when it screws up everyone else’s schedule!
The Emotions songstress was set to unveil her newest album, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse before the World Music Awards on Tuesday evening in Monte Carlo at 5:30 p.m.
But for some unknown reason, the event was pushed to 9:30 p.m., causing a four-hour delay, making Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, and Tinie Tempah adjust their schedules to accommodate the delay.
One senior producer revealed:
“Mariah was meant to be at the Sporting Club at 5:30 p.m. but her album launch was put back to 9:30 p.m.
The whole event has been delayed. It├óΓé¼Γäós not great.”
While a spokesman for the World Music Awards admitted they don’t know what caused the delay but just chalked it up to Mimi just being Mimi!
They said:
“We don’t know why Mariah is late, she’s just being Mariah.”
But regardless, that’s no excuse!
