Marilyn Manson Thinks Hollywood's Sexual Misconduct Scandal 'Could Really Ruin A Lot Of People's Lives That Don't Need To Be Ruined'

Marilyn Manson is no stranger to controversy…
In a recent interview with Channel 4 News, the shock rocker was asked to comment on the sexual misconduct scandal rocking Hollywood. In case you forgot, the musician was formerly engaged to vocal Harvey Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan.
Out of everything, the Antichrist Superstar is worried the #MeToo movement will turn attention away from “the artistic element of Hollywood,” specifically filmmaking.

The 48-year-old confessed:

“I just don’t want to see this turn Hollywood into something that takes away from films being made. That’s not to disrespect those people that are saying the allegations. I just think that if you have something to say, you should say it to the police, not to the press and handle it that way first and foremost. That’s what I would do.”

While the singer agrees these crimes should be taken seriously, he also believes there are varying degrees of what constitutes “sexual assault.”

“There are always allegations, of course, but when someone starts complaining about something that happened that seems a little bit not as serious as sexual assault, I think that’s insulting to people who have been sexually assaulted. It pisses me off when someone says, ├óΓé¼╦£I got an inappropriate gift’ or something, that’s not the same as being harmed.”‘

Ultimately, Manson thinks all the finger-pointing will produce a “snowball effect” that “could really ruin a lot of people’s lives that don’t need to be ruined.”
These quotes will, undoubtedly, ruffle a few feathers!
