Mark Wahlberg Donates All The Money In The World Reshoot Salary To #TimesUp In Michelle Williams' Name

no title
After a whole lot of controversy, Mark Wahlberg just stepped up and did the right thing.
The actor had been taking heat after it was initially reported that co-star Michelle Williams was paid less than 1% of what Wahlberg made for re-shoots on All The Money In The World… and after a few days of controversy and hubbub, things were finally made right.

On Saturday morning, Wahlberg donated his entire $1.5 million salary that he made on the film’s reshoots to Time’s Up in Williams’ name.
Furthermore, his agency, WME, is also donating another $500,000 to cap it at an even $2 million in total. That’s nice!!!
Wahlberg said in part about the incident (below):

“I 100 percent support the fight for fair pay and I’m donating the $1.5 million to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams’ name.”

OK then!!!
This is a very small gesture surrounded by the much larger issue of the gender pay gap in Hollywood that still needs to get worked out, but at the very least, something was made right in a difficult situation here.
