Married Nurse Allegedly Forced Abortion Pills Inside Pregnant Mistress During Intercourse

Married Nurse Forced Abortion Pills Mistress

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Brace yourselves for a crazy story. A married man in Washington State has been accused of forcing his mistress to take abortion pills after finding out she was pregnant. And by forcing, we mean forcing.

David Coots was arrested and charged on March 11 with second-degree assault, third-degree rape, and tampering with a witness. According to charging documents obtained by People, the 42-year-old — a married father of five — was a nurse practitioner and worked as a primary care provider for the alleged victim. Last year, they began to have an affair, and David allegedly told the woman he would be divorcing his wife Melissa Coots soon. We’ve heard that one before. But the cheating is just the setup. Here’s where the story gets twisted…

In January, the girlfriend found out she was pregnant. When she told David, she claimed, he seemed “overly supportive.” However, that may have been a front. The victim now thinks her boyfriend attempted to induce an abortion in her at least twice. The first one, she says, happened on January 26 when David tried to force her to drink a coffee. Looking back, the woman now assumes the beverage was drugged!

The second incident came the following day. The woman claimed David had been “abnormally aggressive” when they were having sex and engaged in sexual activities he “has never done before.” Per King 5, the woman said he “put his fingers so far inside of her that it felt ‘uncomfortable.'” Afterward, per People, he allegedly attempted to stop her from going to the bathroom for a while — and then asked her to stay home. So many red flags. Per the charging docs, the woman said she went right to the bathroom after David left. There she made a shocking discovery.

The woman alleged she found a pill on the toilet paper she used and then discovered a second pill and “some kind of foil.” Naturally, she confronted David about the pills. He initially refused to answer her but later came clean. The woman told police Coots explained they were pills to cause a miscarriage. He had inserted four of them into her body while they were having sex. What the actual eff??

It’s unknown if the woman had a miscarriage. But she understandably was horrified about what happened. Following the confession, the documents state, David kept trying to apologize to the woman. He even sent her $2,000 to stop her from going to the police, but she gave the money back. Then the wife got involved…

On February 1, Melissa reached out to her husband’s mistress. When the victim refused to speak with Melissa, she went to her house and threatened her — saying her and David’s lives would be ruined if she went to law enforcement. The woman claimed Melissa even told her she’d been to her house before, which scared her. But the girlfriend didn’t listen to the warning — she contacted the police. A few days later, on February 5, she said David “relentlessly” messaged her until around one minute before cops served him with a protection order. However, that still didn’t stop him.

On March 11, David allegedly contacted the woman again. He even left her gifts and flowers outside her home “professing his love for her,” per the charging documents. David was then arrested for violating the protection order. Since then, he entered not guilty pleas to the charges. He was released on a $500,000 bond.

David wasn’t the only one charged in the situation. Melissa was charged with tampering with a witness, too. The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office told People she was summoned to appear for her arraignment on March 29. MultiCare — where David practiced at the Tacoma location in Gig Harbor — has since released a statement to King 5 in light of the news, saying:

“MultiCare has no higher priority than the safety of our patients. We take these allegations of inappropriate behavior by our provider very seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation. The provider in question no longer works for Multicare.”
