The Avengers spin-off reeled in ridiculously successful ratings last night, with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. enjoying the best opening of any TV drama in four friggin’ years!!
The show ran against stiff competition in NCIS and The Voice, but over 11.9 million homes tuned in to watch Clark Gregg‘s resurrection in an action-packed premiere!
The debut scored a 4.6 rating in the ever-important 18-49 demo, which surprisingly tied The Voice!!
Whoa!! We expected a good showing given Joss Whedon‘s source film is the third highest grossing movie ever, but we hardly expected this!!
We’re guessing the suits at Marvel/Disney/ABC didn’t either; they must have a business boner the size of Thor’s hammer this morning!
