*SIGH*
We luuuurrrve Matt Bomer.
Everything this charming stud does makes our heart race and our edible boxer-briefs stiffen inspires those around him!!
It turns out the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network are honoring the acclaimed actor and his pretty-fly partner Simon Hall and bequeathing upon them the Inspiration Award at the GLSEN Respect Awards.
Magic Matt opened up about his sexuality earlier this year and it’s fitting he’s receiving an Inspiration Award, considering his ambitions to inspire others looking to become equally comfortable in their own skin.
He recently stated:
“What we really have to do is stop the adjective before the job title├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥whether it’s ‘black actor,’ a ‘gay actor’ or ‘anything actor. Everybody thinks that equality comes from identifying people, and that’s not where equality comes from. Equality comes from treating everybody the same regardless of who they are.”
Well said, sir!
GLSEN Executive Director Eliza Byard released a statement earlier today about the upcoming awards.
In it, she said she’s proud to recognize the couple “for their meaningful contributions toward creating a world where every child learns to respect and accept all people.”
DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg will also be honored at October’s ceremony where they will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
