Matt Damon's Father Battling Cancer

So sad.

Yesterday, Matt Damon flew back to his home in Massachusetts to attend the One Hundred Year Celebration for Mass General Hospital, the same facility, he revealed, that has been treating his father’s cancer.

At the event, Matt took a moment to personally thank all the doctors and nurses who have taken care of his dad, who is currently in remission from the rare blood disease multiple myeloma. He said to them:

“My family is so grateful for the care you’ve given us. It’s deeply humbling to see how many people here are committing their lives to helping others. We’ve lost some close personal friends to cancer in recent years, but I never thought it would happen to my dad, the marathon runner. It sucked.├óΓé¼┬¥

Poor guy! We feel bad for the whole family, really.

But stay positive, Matt. Your dad beat this thing back before. No reason why he can’t again. We have faith he’ll be back to his old self again really soon. Sounds like he has all he needs to do it: good friends, good doctors and an amazing son to look out for him!

Feel better, Kent!
