She’d be within her right to – especially considering all the new details she’s sharing about the attack.
As we reported earlier, Matthew Fox was detained, but not arrested, for assaulting a female party bus driver in Cleveland on Saturday. It was reported that Matthew tried to enter the bus without being a guest and when the driver tried to make him leave, he punched her. The woman, Heather Bormann, is coming forward now to explain the story in more detail from her perspective and adds one frightening detail to the ordeal.
According to Heather, when Matthew boarded the vehicle, he was apparently too drunk to understand that he couldn’t be on the bus. Heather repeatedly asked him to leave, but according to her, Matthew just “kept staring” at her with “his mouth wide open and not saying anything.” That’s when, according to Heather, Matthew “leaned in and started punching my crotch and breast.”
Ouch! Girl! How awful! Such a violation!
Despite the attach, Heather mustered enough courage to fight back, punching him in his jaw and causing him to “stumble backwards.” She added:
“This was my self-defense. This was the only way I could protect myself├óΓé¼┬ª..from a man beating up on a woman.”
We don’t condone violence; we don’t think it is the answer. But anyone who is violated this way has the right to defend themselves. Drunk or not, he had no right to come after her the way that he did. It’s deplorable behavior and shouldn’t be tolerated.
Which is exactly why we back Heather’s decision to meet with prosecutors today about pressing charges against him. He needs to know what he did was exceedingly wrong!
