For anyone else, we’d be skeptical, but for Matthew Knowles…alright, we’re still kind of skeptical. But hear him out.
As it stands, Beyonce’s father, who had been his daughter’s manager since she was kid, is no longer handling her affairs. There were rumors that things went south between Matt and Bey, but in a recent interview, Matthew cleared up the rumors. He explained:
“The transition started way before the official announcement. If you├óΓé¼Γäóre strategic, which we are, you don├óΓé¼Γäót make a decision like that before you start dialogue. That dialogue started nine months ago…At the end of the day, I├óΓé¼Γäóm Beyonce├óΓé¼Γäós father first and her manager second. Remember, this is 20 years I├óΓé¼Γäóve been doing this. She├óΓé¼Γäós almost 30 years old, and if she says, ├óΓé¼╦£I want to run my business,├óΓé¼Γäó I think she├óΓé¼Γäós smart enough that she will get the right team.”
See! He’s letting the little birdie leave the nest! She’s a big, mega-superstar who can handle her own business from now on. She doesn’t ned him anymore!
Or, that’s just what her new manager told him to say! Who knows!
