We’re so glad she’s feeling better!
Maura Tierney is returning to television to reprise her role on FX’s Rescue Me!
Her character won’t appear until Season 7 since they’re shooting both Season 6 and 7 back to back, but show creators Denis Leary and Peter Tolan are thrilled to have her back. Says Tolan:
“We loved working with her ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that was kind of a big deal to get her. We have a deal where we can use her for four episodes. And since we have that deal, we will take advantage of it.”
Maura had to drop out of NBC’s drama Parenthood to undergo breast cancer treatment, but she did go back to work in Feburary for the play North Atlantic in Los Angeles back in February. Her rep says:
“She has finished treatment and is doing very well and is happy to move forward with the next phase of her life.”
Good for her!
