Donald Trump and his supporters’ weird behavior toward Taylor Swift already went too far — but now it’s personal to more than just the singer herself.
Remember that absolutely gut-wrenching song Taylor wrote back in 2012 for a cancer charity? The one in which she sings about a young boy named Ronan Thompson who lost his life to neuroblastoma at just 4-years-old? The one she refuses to perform because it makes her — and all of us — cry so hard? You can watch the video for it below, but be warned it’s a real tear-jerker:

Of course, Trump has been throwing a hissy fit ever since the 34-year-old endorsed Kamala Harris as her choice for the upcoming election, and his fans have been right in behind him. On X (Twitter), one of his fan pages posted some pics of Taylor crying along with this caption:
“BREAKING: Taylor Swift has lost an estimated 150 million dollars over the boycotting of her merchandise and memorabilia after she endorsed Kamala Harris for president. Thoughts?”
Of course, just like how the man himself likes to throw around lies, this statement was fact-checked by Snopes and had ZERO credible sources. They’re just throwing words around, as per usual, but it got exceptionally upsetting when Ronan’s mother Maya Thompson found the tweet. This is because the images the fan page used in the post were of Taylor crying directly after performing Ronan at the charity event Stand Up to Cancer.
On Sunday, the grief-stricken — and quite frankly horrified — mom shared a screenshot of the tweet and wrote:

So infuriating! Poor Maya…
She followed up her post by asking users to help her get the pictures removed because she felt “violated” — and thankfully they WERE! But only after she made the post and got “triggered” as she later stated in a TikTok video. The caption of the video read:
“The misinformation about Taylor circulating on social media related to my dead child is down. Thank you all for always being here and rallying behind the love of Ronan. I’m so thankful for every one of you.”

The momma wasn’t done there, though. She took it a step further by posting a much nicer picture of Taylor on Instagram from the day of the charity event. In the caption, she went HARD against Trump and his “cult” of followers, writing in part:
“I am so sick of Donald Trump and all of the division and ugliness that blindly follows him. All of the blatant lies, conspiracy theories, and lack of critical thinking skills. I am exhausted by everything Donald Trump represents. I am begging all of you who are first-time voters or voting in this election to check your status at vote.org. I knew who I was voting for from the beginning, and it was never going to be Donald Trump.”
