Last night at the Spanish premiere of Sherlock Holmes, Rachel McAdams donned this nude colored Vionnet Resort 2010 dress, paired with Casadei heels.
We love the dress and we love the shoes, but we’re not crazy about the styling, otherwise. The hair is too pouffy – old lady almost – and her color is so light it’s too little contrast against the pale of her skin and the light dress. And the makeup is just wrong. Copper eyeshadow? Coral lipstick? Gag!
While the lipstick is bright, it’s not strong enough to offset the otherwise muted look, and the copper eyeshadow is too light, so the overall effect is one single note of monotone washed out color.
Shame, because the dress is really pretty. With an updo without the Snooki poof, clean, bright eyes and a strong, deep red lip, this look would have been killer.
