Overall, the fast food chain saw a 6.5 percent in the US and Europe and a 8.1 percent increase in the rest of the world.
McDonald’s, like other chains has focused on global expansion due to the US economy.
Only 31 percent of McD’s revenue came from the States, Europe being the biggest contributor.
However, it continues to stay strong despite the American economy and recession.
With the introduction stylish coffee drinks, wi-fi, healthier options and renovated stores, the company is attracting healthy eaters and hipsters Starbucks visitors.
McDonald’s continues to promote its “cheap meal” motif as well.
