Even moms who do their best to keep their kids out of the spotlight can be subject to shaming!
The normally super private Megan Fox is opening up about facing the wrath of online critics because of her son Noah Green‘s outfit choices.

Speaking to the ladies of The Talk on Thursday, she explained her six-year-old’s flair for fashion:
“He designs, he draws outfits. He’s very talented, but he’s still six. When I do fittings, like I did one recently and I had this really beautiful yellow dress on and he kept draping it in a way where he was like ‘if we do it like this, it looks like a diaper!’ And I was like ‘that’s not what we’re going for this time, but maybe next time.'”
Aww, so sweet!!
The momma of three continued, discussing his personal fashion choices which have been subject to criticism by his peers:
“He’s really into fashion, and he’s the one that sometimes he’ll dress himself and he likes to wear dresses sometimes. And I send him to a really liberal, like, hippie school. But even here in California, he still has little boys going, ‘boys don’t wear dresses,’ or ‘boys don’t wear pink.’ And so we’re going through that right now where I’m trying to teach him to be confident no matter what, no matter what anyone else says.”
Despite encouragement from his mom, “he had just stopped wearing dresses for a while,” but now he’s learned to block out the haters:
“He finally, he had just stopped wearing dresses for a while but he just wore one two days ago to school and I was like ‘how was it, did any of the friends at school have anything to say?’ and he was like ‘well all the boys laughed when I came in, but I don’t care I love dresses too much.'”

Previously, the Jennifer’s Body star came under fire via Instagram for posting a snap of her son wearing a dress with Frozen‘s Elsa on it, but she and husband Brian Austin Green couldn’t care less about what anyone says.
Speaking with Hollywood Pipeline, the Beverly Hills: 90210 alum sounded off about his son’s right to wear whatever he pleases:
“My son, you know, he’s 4. I’ve heard from some people that they don’t agree with him wearing dresses. To them I say, I don’t care. He’s 4, and if he wants to wear it, then he wears it. It’s dresses or goggles or slippers or whatever. It’s his life, they’re not my clothes. I feel like at 4 or at 5, that’s a time when he should be having fun. He’s not harming anyone wearing a dress. So if he wants to wear a dress, awesome.”
