Meghan Markle‘s estranged brother is speaking out about his current living situation and her ongoing charity work… and it all sounds just awful.
Tom Markle, who is now 53 years old, has fallen on hard times recently after apparently losing jobs and splitting up with his then-fiancée. In fact, things have gotten so hard for him, that he was forced to move into a home with his elderly mother in New Mexico — or else risk being left homeless to live out on the street.

Tom, who is the son of Meghan’s dad Thomas, claims in a new interview with The Sun out this weekend that he has apparently lost jobs simply because of his famous name. He claims things have gotten so bad with the name issue that he’s considering changing it altogether, just to escape the curse. Hmmm…
He added more in his interview with the outlet, alleging his association with Meghan has nearly ‘destroyed’ him, among other things:
“Being associated with Meghan has nearly destroyed me. I am homeless and could have been under a bridge with a cardboard sign begging for money. But thankfully my Mom has taken me in. Mentally, this has been a f**king nightmare ever since Meghan got together with Harry.”
And even more so than that, he claims it’s particularly painful to watch Meghan do all of her charity work from “her royal pedestal” while he lives in poverty in New Mexico:
“For her to sit there on her royal pedestal and watch this happening to her family — she should have done her humanitarian work for us. I’m sick of hearing about her and Harry helping this charity, that charity — whatever cause is in this week.”
Yikes! Definitely not a great look, and he certainly doesn’t hold back in the interview with those comments.
Of course, it’s tough to believe these things are Meghan’s fault — and not, rather, the byproducts of his own life choices and decisions, but we digress…

Regardless, Meghan and Harry continue to do their own thing far outside the press’ limelight and far away from Buckingham Palace. The Vancouver area has proven to be quite amenable to the couple and their young family, including the lovely Master Archie, and if we had to guess about this one we’d assume Meghan likely won’t be publicly commenting about Tom’s claims and comments here moving forward.
Still, it’s more bad Markle fam press… will this stuff ever end?!
