Meghan Markle will be trained by the best in order to prepare for her new life as a Duchess.
As we previously reported, there are all sorts of rules and protocols the Suits alum must follow now that she’s the Duchess of Sussex. Thankfully, the royal family doesn’t expect the American actress to learn how to be royal bride overnight. However, she will have some serious homework, as she’s reportedly starting six months worth of Duchess lessons.

According to reports, Queen Elizabeth II has tapped one of her senior aides to coach Prince Harry‘s wife on the “Dos and Don’ts” of royal life. It’s said that 49-year-old Samantha Cohen is relocating from Buckingham Palace to Meghan and Harry’s home at Kensington Palace, so that she can work VERY closely with the Windsor family’s latest addition.
A source told The Times:
“It will be six months of listening. She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility. It is not going to be quiet, though. It is going to be a very busy office. She has worked every day of her life. She is used to a demanding schedule.”
And it sounds like Samantha is the perfect person for the job. Not only does Cohen have almost two decades of experience within the Queen’s household, but she viciously protects the Windsors and is lovingly known as, “Samantha the Panther.” Often described as “deeply committed-to serving the Monarchy,” Samantha was among the first women to take control of the royal family’s media office — this department had originally been run by mostly men for a significant length of time.
After a stint in PR, Samantha became the royal deputy press secretary in 2003 and worked her way up to the top position four years later. In 2016, Cohen was made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in honor of her loyal service.
Per reports, Samantha has already begun her work with Meghan, having advised her ahead of Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday/garden party at Buckingham Palace. Well, this explains why Markle is already donning pantyhose!!
