Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Are 'Adjusting' To Life In Los Angeles — And Archie Is A 'Happy Baby'

It’s a crazy time for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry!

As you’re likely aware, Wednesday marks the first day of their new life as “financially independent” individuals. Couple that with their recent move from their secluded Vancouver pad down to Los Angeles AND a global pandemic, it’s no surprise that they have a lot on their plate.

Despite all of the uncertainty going on as of late, “they are positive about the future,” a royal source tells People. The insider added:

“It is exciting for them to mark the end of the transition and the official start of their new chapter.”

Apparently, they have been settling in quite nicely to their new life in El Lay. Per the confidant, baby Archie is loving it too! He is “teething and is a happy baby. I’m sure he is happy to be in the California sunshine.”

Too cute! Who wouldn’t be?!

The source explained:

“Like everyone, they are adjusting to [social distancing], being cautious and safe.”

Now that they have officially stepped down from their senior positions in the royal fam, there are some additional changes underway. Rebecca English, the royal editor of the Daily Mail tweeted out an automatic response she received on Wednesday, April 1 which informed her that the office of the Duke and Duchess is closed:

“Many thanks for your email. The office for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has now closed.”

We highly doubt this was an April Fools’ Day joke!

As we shared earlier this week, the twosome took to their @SussexRoyal Instagram account one final time, and seemingly said goodbye to followers. In part, they wrote:

“As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.

While you may not see us here, the work continues.

Thank you to this community – for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!

Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another.

It’s unclear if the account will no longer be used moving forward, or if they plan to rebrand when the time is right. Your guess is as good as ours!!
