Meghan Markle is proof that marrying Prince Charming does not necessarily mean “happily ever after.”
The Duchess’ latest family friction came when her father gave an interview on ITV‘s Good Morning Britain Monday.

Thomas Markle seemed sincerely upset about his relationship with his daughter — but it turns out he was making it worse!
A source told ET that Meghan and Prince Harry were blindsided by the interview, which seemed to them more self-serving than anything else:
“It came as a surprise. They were not given advanced warning. They understand he has been harassed by the paparazzi 24/7 but it’s hard for them to accept his apology when he’s again taking cash.”
ET reached out to GMB cohost Piers Morgan, who confirmed Mr. Markle made “a few thousand pounds” on the interview, something Morgan considered “a small amount”:
“It wasn’t about money for him, you can tell that. The real motivation was setting the record straight, having his say.”
Piers has been overpaid too long to remember that “a few thousand pounds” is a hell of a lot of money to most people.
Unfortunately, it’s difficult for the royal couple to take his comments as genuine when he doesn’t just tell them in private!
The source continues:
“Meghan loves her father deeply and Harry and Meghan have tried to offer him support and guidance adjusting to the media attention. But the relationship is fractured and it will be interesting to see where they go from here.”
“Fractured” does not sound good — but it sounds like it will be up to Mr. Markle whether it becomes truly broken.
