Mel Gibson is telling friends he never said John Lennon deserved to die!
Well imagine that!
After Joe Eszterhas accused him of shaming the late musician and activist (among many, many other claims), Mel and his friends apparently laughed their butts off!
In fact, one close source ever says he was playing Imagine at a recent function and says:
It’s not uncommon to hear The Beatles at Gibson’s house.
Hmmm…
And while Joe says he has many of Mel’s alleged rants on tapes, he won’t say whether or not he has the Lennon rant. Inneresting..
Meanwhile, Mel theorizes another reason why Joe would want to lash out at him. Not only did he and Warner Bros reject Joe’s Maccabees script, but Mel admits he was putting in more time in on a viking film when Joe was trying to craft a proper story for Maccabees.
DRAH-MAH!!!
The deeper we get into this, the more high school it sounds… and that’s just not cute!
