Oh no! Poor thing!
Although Melissa McCarthy was expected to be present when she and Michelle Williams were honored by the U.S.-Ireland Alliance at a pre-Academy Awards party on Thursday, the Bridesmaids actress had to call out sick on doctors’ orders, as she’s lost her voice and is on strict vocal rest until the actual Oscars!
As an event staffer confirmed:
“We were so sad not to have her there, but she needs to rest up to be healthy for the Oscars.”
Very true! Such a shame, though!
