Meredith Baxter Abused By Ex-Hubby?

There are way way way too many of these stories!
So sad.
In a new memoir, Meredith Baxter, who is now 63, recounts her past marriage with ex-husband David Birney, and that he had struck her multiple times.
All of this then brought on her drinking problems, but she has since been sober starting in 1990.
One incident:

Baxter writes: “It was so sudden and unexpected, I couldn’t tell you which hand hit me, or even how hard. I do recall thinking, ‘I’d better not get up because he’s going to hit me again.’ ”

Baxter, has always maintained that her marriage had been a lot worse than it seemed. She came out as a lesbian just a few years ago.
Birney, in a shock to absolutely no one, denies any of it happened.
Seriously, people. Violence is just never the right choice. Ever.
Meredith, bb, we’re so glad you got out!
