Metta World Peace, formally known as Ron Artest, has released a PSA about mental health.
And it makes very little sense!
Metta stars as Metta Man, who is a superhero with a curling stone and a flying skateboard.
It’s so hard to describe that we’re not even really going to attempt it: just watch it for yourself (above)!
We ARE happy that it’s in support of Limelight Mental Health, which is a non-profit organization that wants to boost awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.
People have always wondered if he’s been suffering from his own condition, what with the bizarre name change in 2011, and a live on-court interview when he thanked his psychiatrist for helping him ‘relax’ during the series.
One thing we do know is, he’s always been about helping the cause: he auctioned off his championship ring in 2010, raising over $500,000 for charities that provide mental health awareness and treatment services for children.
