It’s like a telenovela come to life!!
On Tuesday evening, Mexican soap star Eduardo Yanez hit the red carpet for an event in Hollywood.
And when we say “hit” we aren’t kidding, as Yanez ended up assaulting an entertainment journalist. ├é┬íAy, caramba!

According to reports, the 57-year-old (who is infamously aggressive towards reporters) was joking with journalist Paco Fuentes when a quip about his son set him off. It’s said Fuentes asked Eduardo why his son set up a GoFundMe page for a wrecked car instead asking his famous father for the cash.
This question set off Yanez’s temper as the actor exploded:

“If you’re so worried about my son, you send him the money or go talk to him.”

The Univision reporter attempted to diffuse the situation by saying fans cared about the situation and that he was just delivering the message. The twosome went back and forth a bit more, which resulted in Paco getting slapped across the face.
Watch the moment go down for yourself (below)!

Ouchie!! Lupita Herrera, who was also on the red carpet, shared with CBS 2:

“I was in shock. I didn’t know what to do. In my opinion, Fuentes was just doing his job. And Eduardo needs anger management.”

Miz Herrera claims she also asked Eduardo about the GoFundMe page and the actor reacted negatively to her question too. Thankfully, he didn’t get physical with her.
It’s being reported that Fuentes went to the hospital because of pain in his face and ear. According to TMZ he filed a police report with the LAPD.
As for the hot-tempered Eduardo, he took to Twitter on Thursday to apologize for his actions:

“I want to sincerely apologize to the public and to the person affected by my action. It was not right. My personal life is not for sale.”

Hopefully, this incident teaches Eduardo to keep his hands to himself!! Tsk, tsk.
